This training prepares them for a variety of tasks, from basic construction work to intricate decorative projects. Starting with wages at 55% of the journeyman scale, apprentices receive regular pay increases every six months, reflecting their growing expertise, until they reach up to 95% of the journeyman rate. The program not only provides a pathway to a well-paying career but also offers significant benefits such as health and welfare plans and a retirement pension plan. Entry into this apprenticeship requires a minimum of an 11th-grade education, a strong physical condition, and reliable transportation.
